How do i play movies I downloaded off itunes on my dvd player?

I have just purchased Enemy at the Gates off the Itune Store. I have also bought a couple blank dvd's so i can burn it. I already burnt one disc that doesn't work. What do I have to do in order to play my movies on my dvd player? I have 2 programs called PowerDVD 6 and Nero. I don't know if any of them have the tools to convert them...

1. I think that you have to save it in your ipod and use some kind of ipod docking station to play it back on your TV. If your movie files are not protected, then you can convert them to a DVD disc. In most cases, the picture quality is not very good on DVD, because the movie file is a highly compressed MP4 or h264. The re-conversion process from compress video to DVD video is usually not very good. You will not get the same video quality of an original DVD.
