How do you get videos of a DVD on to your ipod??!!?

i have a couple DVD's of live shows from a couple bands i want to know how i can get them on my ipod so i can watch them on it.....i have a 30 gig video ipod btw.....so how can i get the shows of the DVD on to my ipod so i can watch them on it, please tell me step-by-step thanks

2. you gotta get mediafork and iSquint (search them on google)... ..put the dvd in your computer bring up mediafork and fill it out and burn the dvd onto ur computer (on my computer this takes about 8-10 hours ) when that is done the file will pop up on ur desktop... drag that file into the isquint window and click optimize for ipod and add to itunes...this takes a couple of hours... when it is done you just plug in ur ipod and it will go onto ur ipod
